The Alfa Laval GJ 7, Alfa Laval GJ BB and Alfa Laval GJ 9 rotary jet head tank cleaning devices represent a major technological breakthrough, offering the most powerful cleaning results in a compact, easy to handle size. The Alfa Laval GJ 7 and Alfa Laval GJ BB are specially designed to clean small barrels and drums, while the Alfa Laval GJ 9 offers fast cleaning of your intermediate bulk containers (IBC). All devices are available in a wide range of sizes and nozzle configurations.
A quality product
The Alfa Laval GJ tank cleaning devices are part of our highly acclaimed Gamajet product range. Alfa Laval technology combines pressure and flow to create high impact cleaning jets that are precision engineered to rotate in a precise, repeatable and reliable 360-degree pattern.
Fast cleaning of IBC
The Alfa Laval GJ 9 is ideal to clean IBCs and small vessels. The unit easily fits through openings as narrow as 76mm (3”). The device operates effectively at both high 70 bar (1000 PSI) and low 3 bar (40PSI) pressures, providing flexible options and potentially reducing cleaning time. Cleaning is often carried out with 4-8 minutes.
Drum & Barrel cleaning
The Alfa Laval GJ 7 and Alfa Laval GJ BB are designed to ensure drums and barrels are thoroughly cleaned, utilizing the least amount of time and wash fluid. Clean the entire drum or barrel in less than 2 - 7 minutes. The units are ideal for cleaning a variety of residues, including adhesives, paints, chemicals and petroleum. The units easily fit through openings as narrow as 55mm (1.75”).
Positive return on Investment
The unique design reduces your cost to clean and environmental footprint by minimizing the amount of water, energy and cleaning agents required to clean tanks. Using high-impact jet cleaning instead of traditional ineffective static spray balls reduces waste and resource consumption.
- Faster cleaning time = More production time.
- Reduces water/wash fluid usage for tank cleaning, leading to reduced cost to clean.
- Eliminates the need for confined space entry for manual tank cleaning.
- Durable and reliable, rotary jet heads are proven to boost cleaning efficiency by providing reliable and repeatable cleaning performance.

How it works
High-impact, low-resource cleaning
The high-impact jet stream from the rotary jet head is preprogrammed to cover the inside of the tank in a continuously denser pattern. This achieves a powerful mechanical impact with a low volume of water, acid or caustic. Most of the Alfa Laval GJ rotary jet heads are capable of operating at both high and low pressures.
Smoother, long-lasting performance
The Alfa Laval GJ range includes a unique, grease-lubricated gear to ensure that potentially damaging particles are not trapped in the gear during CIP recirculation. This innovative design ensures a smoother performance and reduces wear and tear.
A faster tank cleaning cycle also cuts energy consumption. Cleaning fluid flows through the nozzles in an automated, geared rotation around the vertical and horizontal axes. In the first cycle, the nozzles lay out a coarse pattern on the tank surface, with subsequent cycles progressively densifying the pattern over the course of eight cycles.
